The complete Goose Cove Wedding is available in May, June, September and October. However, throughout the season we can accommodate rehearsal dinners, as well as intimate ceremonies and receptions that do not involve closing the lodge to other guests.

Following are a few of the specifics for closing the lodge for a wedding, followed by a few things that we offer at no charge to enhance the weekend stay for your guests.

Goose Cove Lodge can accommodate up to 80 guests, in 20 rooms, cabins and suites. There are several nearby inns to accommodate any additional guests.

A deposit of $3,500.00 is required to reserve the lodge for weekend. This initial deposit paid by the hosting party will be applied to the cost of the wedding reception. This deposit is non-refundable if cancellation occurs within ninety days of the scheduled date of the event. If cancellation occurs outside of the ninety-day limit a $1,500.00 cancellation fee applies. Fifty percent of the estimated balance is due 30 days prior to the event and the remaining balance is payable upon the completion of the event. The initial deposit paid will be applied to the final bill.

There is a fee of $3,500.00 for use of the lodge for the weekend. This fee will be added to the final bill.

All available accommodations must be rented for a two-night minimum stay at current rates. Additional persons in the room over the two-person minimum are charged an additional rate based on the room, cabin or suite.
Wedding guests may reserve and pay for their own lodging or the wedding party can choose to pay a flat fee of $12,000 to book all rooms for both nights.
We will develop a complete package price for your weekend upon request. Food costs for the rehearsal dinner begin at $65.00 per person.
Wedding receptions begin at $75 per person.
Sunday brunch begin at $30 per person.
Charges for alcoholic beverages are in addition to the food cost and vary from one reception to the next. An 18% service charge will apply to all food and beverage charges and covers 8 hours of service by our staff. There is an additional $150 per hour charge for service staff to remain beyond the stated time period. The charge for bartenders is an additional $25 per hour per bartender.

Goose Cove Lodge has a full liquor license. Licensed areas include the main lodge, the deck and the beach. Please inquire about different types of bar service available. Guests may not bring their own alcoholic beverages to any of these areas.
Guests may bring alcoholic beverages to their room and consume them there. We appreciate your assistance and consideration in this matter.

Goose Cove Lodge is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed in any building on the property. Smoking areas will be designated outside in certain areas with disposal of cigarettes and cigars in containers provided. Fire is a major issue for Goose Cove Lodge as all the buildings here are wooden and the dry summers that have occurred in recent years have led to tinder dry conditions on the grounds that surround the lodge and in the woods. The Nature Conservancy does not permit smoking or pets on the trails. We appreciate your sensitivity and assistance in this matter by asking your guests to abide by these important requests.

The Goose Cove Wedding is limited to a maximum of 140 guests, but no fewer than 75.

In good weather conitions, it is possible to accomodate additional guests on our large, outdoor deck, under a tent. Goose Cove can help you make arrangements for the tent rental.
Rental items such as tents, tables, chairs, china, flatware and glassware may be needed depending on the type of event you are having. It is the responsibility of the host to pay the additional costs for rental items ordered for your event. If Goose Cove Lodge orders and is responsible for rentals for the event, a fee of 20% of the total rental fee or $150 (whichever is greater) will apply.

To enhance the weekend stay for your guests we offer at no charge the following activities:

• Guided nature walks with the naturalist innkeeper
• Astronomy: a look at the universe through our research grade telescope, weather permitting.
• We have a small fleet of Keoweee kayaks that may be taken out for free. For an extra charge a guided kayak tour is available by pre-arrangement. If we provide kayaks for a tour run by an outside guide, there will be a nominal fee for sea kayaks.
